Unnecessary Jealousy
Edgar, Catherine's husband, in chapter 10, was jealous of how happy Catherine was to see the long-missing, good-looking Heathcliff. But, I personally think that there is no reason Edgar should be worried because Heathcliff is Catherine's adopted brother. And even though Heathcliff loves Catherine and Catherine loves Heathcliff, they never would have gotten far because Catherine is married and the fact that the two are related.

I agree in some ways... I think if Edgar would have just let them be happy to see each other, they wouldn't have brought up old feelings. However, he just had to get jealous and that probably reminded the two of the love they shared and that may have caused Heathcliff to seek revenge by marrying Isabella. On the other hand, they aren't really related and maybe they still had the same feelings for each other this whole time and if they got the chance, Catherine and Heathcliff may have even run away together (if their love was strong enough).
