Surprises Early On

Only in the second chapter of Wuthering Heights, I've already been surprised by the storyline. An unexpected turn, I had expected Heathcliff's character to be similar to Mr. Darcy's character from one of my favorite books, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Mr. Darcy is tall, brooding, and handsome with a quality that is loved by women around the world has read the classic novel. However, Heathcliff, although dark, has already had a son that is dead and a daughter-in-law. This is an unexpected twist and now I am unsure what to expect from Heathcliff as a character.
