Love Story or Mystery?
At first, when Lockwood met Catherine at the fireplace, I believed that this book would be describing the romance between the two, but that was before I realized how wrong that statement is. The ghost scene with Lockwood in the "forbidden room" was really unexpected and surprising. I was just so astounded at the scene, especially at how a ghost can actually bleed. The mysterious part is how the ghost was repeating Catherine Liston's name. Who is the ghost?

I was surprised too!!! I was all ready for a nice romantic novel and a sort of "chick flick" kind of style. I thought the book got kind of scary even. It really took me off guard and I find it unhealthy that he is seeing ghosts.
