A Possible Symbol

In both the first chapter and third chapter of Wuthering Heights, dogs have been mentioned. This is unexpected for the are an unlikely symbol but they seem to have a common reappearance that is associated with Wuthering Heights (the manor.) Until further in the book, I will have to wait to see if I am correct on my assumption.

  1. That's exactly what I was thinking, Danielle! Bronte records a lot of dog attacks during the first few chapters of the book, but as you keep reading, there is no repetition of the dog attacks. I personally think that Bronte didn't mean to signify the dog attacks so much.
